Rochat AI's brand-new memory system Auto Memory allows your favorite characters to track past interactions, personal details, and key plot elements during roleplay conversations.
Previously, AI characters in Rochat had a memory length of 16-32K for premium users (4-8K for free users), meaning that once the interaction exceeded this length, AI characters would begin to forget earlier content.
With the new Auto Memory system, you not only retain the ultra-long memory window of 16-32K, but the AI can also recall specific details from conversations that took place months ago.
The new system automatically captures key points from your conversations, stores them as long-term memories, and surfaces them naturally in later interactions—just like how a human brain recalls past events.
Conversation Overview: The AI will automatically generate an overview of the current conversation to help the character understand the full picture when creating new content. The overview will update dynamically as your conversation progresses.
If you find that the conversation overview doesn't meet your expectations, Auto Memory allows you to temporarily edit it, helping guide the next part of the conversation.
Specific to Each Conversation and Character: Key memories are attached directly to each character in the current conversation, meaning they won't affect your entire account.
Context Awareness: The AI will remember events even if they happened months ago, making interactions feel more natural and believable.
The new memory system doesn't constantly learn from your current conversation. Instead, it learns from past interactions after a certain period has passed. This setting ensures that your current conversation remains the top priority. Once enough dialogue has accumulated, the system will automatically start learning, adding, updating, or deleting key memory points.

âš If certain key memories don't meet your needs, Auto Memory allows you to delete them. Deleted memories will gradually be forgotten by the AI system.
1. Provide key information early
At the beginning of a roleplay, clearly outlining critical details about your character and the world they inhabit will help the AI capture and later use this information, making the conversation richer.
2. Use consistent language and details
The clearer you express yourself, the better the memory feature will work. Consistency helps the AI avoid confusion and ensures that later interactions remain aligned with earlier events.
3. Periodically reinforce important elements
Even with memory functionality, AI isn't flawless (yet!). Occasionally revisit key plot elements in your conversation, especially if they haven't come up in a while. A subtle reminder naturally woven into the roleplay will help. Example: “Do you still remember the secret heist we planned last year? Are we still on track?” If your character hasn’t fully grasped a detail, don’t hesitate to bring it up again—it will reinforce the memory.
